1 Pillow Lace
This is stated to have been first introduced about 1550 in Saxony, and consists of " netting, twisting, or plaiting threads drawn from spools or bobbins into lace, by passing them round pins upon a cushion." Fine lace worked by hand with bobbins on a cushion or pillow (see lace). The design is traced upon paper which lies on the pillow. Pins are inserted at cross lines on the design. -

The ground of pillow lace. The bars may be either plain or with a minute pearl edge, and consist of irregular threads or groups of threads drawn from one part of the pattern to another. -

The drapery term for the outer covering of a pillow made of cotton, linen, or other material. -
6 Pillow Tubing
A tubular cloth woven like a double cloth in the loom, but joined at the selvedges to produce a circular fabric. An average quality has 64 ends and 66 picks per inch, 28's warp, 32's weft, American yarns of good quality. The cloth is woven four ends in a dent, and from one shuttle. Two repeats of the weave are shown. Dots indicate the face threads lifted on face picks, x's show the back threads lifted on back picks, and black squares show all face ends lifted on back picks. -
7 Pillow Linen
A linen fabric made in 40-in., 45-in., and 54-in. widths, and 40 yard pieces. About 80 ends and 80 picks per inch for the better quality, and 64 ends and 60 picks per inch for the lowest. Yarns about 120's warp, 120's weft linen. -

The commonest variety of corduroy, having narrow cords. -

Three pillow covers, a hank of lace thread, a hank of gimp (shiny thread), four dozen pairs of bobbins, lace pins, common pins, small soft pin cushion, darning needle with sealing wax head, fine crochet hook, bobbin-bag, a pair of scissors and a parchment pattern. -
